OUR PARTNERS MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.
Breakthrough Saint Paul, an affiliate of the national Breakthrough Collaborative, is a Mounds Park Academy (MPA) program designed and implemented in collaboration with Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS). In addition to these three main institutional partners, we work with other organizations to enhance our programming and to recruit our participants.
MAIN INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERS:
Breakthrough Saint Paul is one of 35 member sites of the national Breakthrough Collaborative. The national office provides Breakthrough Saint Paul with a national teacher application, national student database, curricular resources, marketing materials, and occasionally pass-through grants from national foundations.
Mounds Park Academy provides Breakthrough administrative and programming space on a year-round basis. All financial activities are maintained by the school’s business and development offices. Additionally, MPA covers a portion of the director’s annual salary.
Saint Paul Public Schools provides Breakthrough students with transportation to and from the program during both the summer and school year as well as with daily breakfasts and lunches. Furthermore, the district works with program staff to recruit students from SPPS elementary schools, collect data on students, and help ensure students are on the rigorous track in school.
