"STUDENTS TEACHING STUDENTS" IS OUR MODEL:
Breakthrough Saint Paul employs a "Students Teaching Students" model of education common to all 29 programs in The Breakthrough Collaborative. For six weeks during the summer and on 13 Saturdays during the school year, motivated, under-resourced middle school students take challenging, enrichment courses designed by aspiring teachers. Professional mentor teachers guide the aspiring teachers. High school students receive a laptop and internet access so they can access program services anywhere at anytime.
