"STUDENTS TEACHING STUDENTS" IS OUR MODEL:
Breakthrough Saint Paul employs a "Students Teaching Students" model of education common to all 29 programs in The Breakthrough Collaborative. For six weeks during the summer and on 13 Saturdays during the school year, motivated, under-resourced middle school students from Saint Paul Public Schools take challenging enrichment classes designed and taught by talented and diverse high school and college students. A team of professional mentor teachers and staff guide the young teachers.
