EVALUATION AT BREAKTHROUGH
No program is perfect, but all should strive to be. At Breakthrough, we believe that regular program evaluation is a critical process to be embraced, not a chore to be avoided.
Breakthrough uses a tool called a logic model to organize its evaluation efforts. A logic model is like a recipe for the entire program. It explains:
- What ingredients we need (inputs)
- What activities we do with those ingredients (outputs)
- What the results will be if recipe is followed (outcomes)
Each fall, we assemble our program data into a comprehensive evaluation, which we call the “Breakthrough Breakdown.” Read the full Breakthrough Breakdown for 2008-09 .
