OTHER INDICATORS
Other indicators of our program’s quality include:

1) Strong Attendance: During summer 2006, attendance was 95%. During the Saturday morning sessions of the school year program, attendance was 85%. Summer 2007 attendance was 97%.

2) Strong Interest: This spring, we had 108 applicants for 50 spots in our new class. For the teaching internship this summer, 147 high school and college students applied for 17 positions.

3) Scholarship Success: Last year, Breakthrough Saint Paul helped one of our students apply for and win the prestigious Young Scholars award from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. This award is extremely competitive nationally, and the prize was approximately $300,000 to help him set and achieve his educational goals all the way through Ph.D. (Read Tho's Breakthrough Moment story.)
