THE BREAKTHROUGH SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM

During the school year, Breakthrough supports students in several ways. First, the Student & Family Liaison checks grades and attendance at least once a week, visits schools at least once a month, and holds students accountable for success in honors coursework. Second, the program holds about one Saturday session per month to offer additional enrichment activities to students.

School Year Program Highlights:

Individualized academic check-ins and support from the Breakthrough staff
One-on-one weekly tutoring if students are struggling in core academic classes.
Saturday field trips focused on academics and college.

Saturday Schedule
It is important to note that the Saturday sessions usually start at 9:00 a.m. and go until 12:30 p.m. If you apply, be prepared to wake up earlier than usual on Saturday.
